Thank you to our Adopt a Shelter Angels
Adopting 1700 homeless families living in shelters for one day is one of Volunteer Impact's most cherished activities. The residents of the shelters are enormously touched by the generosity of volunteers and sponsors. Having a special party in their honor, with tons of needed gifts, foods that residents NEVER usually are treated to such as cookies, cakes,donuts, bagels, pizzas and pitas, and sharing a day of crafts, dance, manicures, music and comaraderie is heart-warming for both residents and volunteers. Volunteer Impact thanks all the children whose classes donated gifts, all the adults who brought donations from their places of work and from their own hearts, and all the restaurants and professionals who gave their time to make a Adopt-a-Shelter 2005 a wonderful success. If you would like to assist on Adopt-a-Shelter 2006, we are ready for your help! Please contact VI if you are interested in assisting us. The Minoti Rajput Challenge Grant
